Downing, 22 (4/18/92), recorded 36 points (21-15=36) including five power-play goals and four game-winning tallies in 38 games during his senior season at the University of New Hampshire. He led the Wildcats in goals and ranked second in scoring. His goal total ranked T-3rd in Hockey East and T-13th in the NCAA. The 6-foot, 200-pound native of Abbotsford, British Columbia, collected 112 points (56-56=112) and 120 penalty minutes (PIM) in 144 games during four seasons with New Hampshire. Downing played three seasons (2008-11) with the Westside Warriors in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) prior to going to New Hampshire.
