NEW FOR THE 2014/15 SEASON

• Juvenile Player Registration Fee--$300.  (Juvenile aged players must play in the Juvenile division and will not be permitted to play as over-aged players.)

• Late Payment Fee—all payments received after August 1st

 

ALL RETURNING SKATERS

 

As was done last year, registration for returning skaters will be done online.  The online registration system will be active from Tuesday, April 1st at 7:00am to Thursday, May 15th at midnight.   Please note the following:

 

• Online registration must be completed by midnight, April 30th in order to receive priority as a returning player.

• Online registration completed for returning players after midnight on April 30th until midnight on May 15th, will be assessed a $50 late fee. 

• Returning players who do not register online by midnight, May 15th will no longer hold the status of a “returning player” and will be required to register as a new member at open registration, on a first come first served basis.

• Upon completion of online registration, full payment, post-dated for August 1st, must be received by midnight May 31st.

 

ALL RETURNING GOALTENDERS

 

Please note the following is not a new policy.  It is simply explained in greater detail.

 

• The number of goaltenders that will be registered to AMHA for the 2014/15 season will be based on the number of teams fielded. 

• A maximum of two goaltenders per team throughout all divisions will be the final number of goaltenders accepted, with the exception of the Midget division (due to goaltenders who have purchased the Hold Fee.)

• Registration will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.  

• Returning goaltenders may be placed on a waitlist should space not be available. 

• Goaltenders will be released off the waitlist, onto teams, on a first come, first served basis. 

 

All registrations will be accepted as per registration guideline.  Online registration must be completed by midnight, April 30th in order to receive priority as a returning player.

IN ORDER TO COMPLETE ONLINE REGISTRATION:

 

• Go to www.abbotsfordminorhockey.ca click on REGISTRATION, then select RETURNING PLAYERS, then select ‘click here’

• You will be linked to the Hockey Canada Registry online registration page, login screen

• New users will be required to create an account

• Returning users may login using the email and password created previously 

• Families only require one (1) account to register as many players as they wish

• Users will require the Hockey ID number for each player that you wish to register.  Hockey ID numbers can be located under the barcode on the tax receipt enclosed with this package

• Once registration is complete, payment must be provided. 

• Should you have any difficulty completing online registration or for families that do not have access to a computer, please contact AMHA’s Administrator for assistance.

 

PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEES

 

Upon completion of online registration, payment must be provided to AMHA.  As noted above, payment must be received by midnight on May 31st.  Please note the following important details:

 

• AMHA will accept payment for registration in the form of one (1) cheque, post-dated for August 1st.  Payment by money order or bank draft will also be accepted.

• Please double-check your payment amount to ensure it reflects the current season’s fees.

•  Payment Fee-- All payments received after August 1st will be subject to a $50 late payment fee.  Any cheque returned to AMHA as NSF will be assessed a $50 fee.

• Payment may also be dropped off at the AMHA office mailbox.  The AMHA office is located that the top of the bleachers at MRC arena.  

• Please do not leave cash in the AMHA mailbox.  Please contact the Administrator to make arrangements for cash payments.

• Cheques that are dated earlier than August 1st, will be held for deposit on or after August 1st.

• Please note that payments received with incorrect registration amounts or incorrect cheque dates may be returned to the respective family for replacement.

 

Financial Assistance:

 

• AMHA recognizes that hockey is an expensive sport.  There are a number of local organizations that are available to provide financial assistance to families.  In addition, families who are experiencing personal financial hardship may apply to AMHA for assistance with "basic registration fees".  Should you require financial assistance, please contact the Administrator. 

 

MIDGET PLAYERS ATTENDING CAMP

 

Returning Midget players who will be attending Junior, WHL, Major Midget or U16 camps and would like a spot held for them must register online and pay the Hold Fee no later than May 31st.

A Hold Fee is designed to act as a method of “insurance” so that if a player finds they need to return to AMHA there is a spot that has been held for them. This does not mean they are guaranteed a spot on a rep team, it does mean they will not be placed on a waitlist like potentially other players that have registered late.

 

• Refunds of the hold fee will only be made if requested before August 15th.

• Only those players who have paid a hold fee will have a spot reserved for them until January 10th.

• Up to and including November 1st in any given year, players will be allowed to return to the Association, whether they have been released or decide not to continue with the Junior Team and attend tryouts for their age level Rep team.

• After November 1st up to and including January 10th, the player that quits the WHL, Junior, Major Midget or U16 Team will not be eligible to play either on a Rep team or “C” team for his division but will be move up to the Juvenile team (if space available).

• After November 1st up to and including January 10th, players who have paid the hold fee will be allowed to return to AMHA and play on their age level rep team, if they have been released from a Junior, Major Midget or U16 Team. (maximum 19 players rostered; including 2 goalies)

• Players who have paid a hold fee must pay the full pro-rated registration fee (7 months September - March) plus the pro-rated carding fee for the balance of the season.   Players who return prior to the last Saturday in September will also pay a pro-rated tryout fee.

• Released players are required to notify AMHA within 48 hours with their intent to return.  Failing to do so, will result in forfeit of the hold fee.

• Returning players who have not paid the hold fee will be placed to the C division if space permits and will be required to pay pro-rated registration fee (7 months September - March). 

• Players must contact Registrar PRIOR to going on ice. 

 

Please also note the following:

 

• When registering online, please select only the Hold Fee.

• Payment of the Hold Fee only is required at time of online registration.

• When selecting the Hold Fee, the system may automatically add a $100 jersey deposit.  You will not be able to remove this during online registration.   Simply select the Hold Fee, disregard the jersey deposit and then submit only the $50 payment.  The $100 jersey deposit will be manually deleted upon receipt of the Hold Fee payment.  Please note that the $100 jersey deposit will be applied upon registration after release from Junior or Major Midget.

• Please do not send payment for Midget registration fees, rep tryout fees or jersey deposit when paying the Hold Fee.

• Players returning from Junior or Major Midget must report to the Registrar without delay, to pay the balance of their fees or risk losing eligibility to play AMHA rep hockey.

• Hold fees are non-refundable after midnight on August 14th
