Clinics
Hi everyone, I hope you are all as excited as I am for the upcoming season. Our first year officials clinic is this Saturday and the returning officials clinic is now available to sign up on the BC Hockey website.
If you have not done so already, please go onto the assigning site, www.assignr.com, and update your profile. More importantly make sure your availability is up to date so that you can get games. You first year officials will be put into the assigning system at the clinic.

Feb 4th Update
Hello everyone and welcome to the 2015 Dallas Saunders Bantam Tournament.
I would like to say thank you to all of you for taking the time to work some games in this very prestigious tournament. It is one of the longest running tournaments in AMHA. There are a few things going on this tournament that you may or may not be familiar with. If you log onto the AMHA website, www.abbotsfordminorhockey.ca, there is a link on the right side of the home page with a schedule and rules for the tournament. Please take a minute before you go on the ice to familiarize yourself with the rules.
We are asking that you please show up to the rink at least 30 minutes before games and to try and dress up a bit. I'm not saying shirt and tie but if you could look the part, that would be appreciated. If you are going to be late or can't make your assignment, please call Ray Blanchette ASAP and it wouldn't hurt to call your partners to give them a heads up as well.
The two semi-finals and the final for this tournament will be the 4 man system. These games will be assigned to the officials who have earned the spots throughout the tournament. So if you want to work the finals, bring your A game. If you don't, please send me an email and I can get your games reassigned for you by someone who does.
We are fortunate to have BC Hockey supervising this tournament. They will have supervisors at the rinks watching games. This is a great opportunity for you to not only get supervised but to also show the branch what you can do and be recognized for final 4 assignments and to possibly work higher levels of hockey.
Thank you in advance for your efforts this coming weekend as I am sure we will have an excellent tournament. Make it as difficult as possible for the supervisors to decide who should get the finals. Good Luck to all!!!

Nov 12th Update
Hi all you first year officials. The time has come...finally. I know you are all excited to get officiating. We have games starting this coming weekend. I am helping our assignor Adrienne Hobbs out by doing the assigning for this weekend and next. I have published the games in assignr.com and they are now available for you to request them. Please go into assignr.com and make sure your calendars are all up to date. If you don't, I can't give you games. I would like to have this weekends games assigned by tomorrow night and the ones for next weekend assigned by the weekend. Let me know if you have any questions. It is our goal to have every one of these games supervised with a shadow on the ice with you. We have 22 games from now till Dec 14th. I will also have an ice session, looking at the end of November for that. I will keep you all posted.
